Karlo Juric is a Senior Associate at VX Associates responsible for providing assistance in financial modelling; company valuation; data analysis; creation of pitch decks, teasers, information memorandums, and other types of presentations; organisation and management of virtual data rooms (VDR); and market research. He graduated from the Faculty of Business and Economics, University of Zagreb with Finance as his major.
Karlo also went to specialised summer courses related to Finance such as Solvay SummerSchool (Brussels) and Ludwig-Maximilian-University München Summer School.
In addition to that, he is also a certified Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA)®, as well as Capital Markets & Securities Analyst (CMSA)®️, both certified by the prestigious Corporate Finance Institute.
Evidently, he has a strong passion for Finance (particularly for stocks analysis, Private Equity, and Venture Capital)
In his previous roles, he has worked in the Investment Banking industry as an Investment Banking Intern, in the M&A department at Privredna Banka Zagreb. He also worked in Consulting as an EU Advisory Intern at Ernst & Young Croatia and as a Research Analyst Intern at the World Bank.
During his Investment Banking roles, he provided assistance to bankers in projects such as pitch books and the execution of mergers and acquisition mandates, financial analysis and financial modelling, comparable analysis, industry research, preparation and presentation of slides, and other written materials. He was also involved in writing EU projects applications for infrastructural projects, working on several sector analyses, and developed internal projects.
With his background in Investment Banking and Consulting, he has strong numerical and analytical skills, great communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-based environment.
He speaks English (fluent), German (basic), Spanish (basic), and Croatian (mother tongue). In his spare time, he loves to do sports, travel, and read books about Finance and History.
